Just to let you know, this weekend, from Friday, May 4, to Sunday, May 6, the Jane's Walk Festival is taking place. This weekend there will be hundreds of free walks in the GTA. For a list of walks in Toronto go to https://janeswalk.org/canada/toronto/toronto-walk-listings/.
If you would like to join me, I plan on doing only one walk this weekend, "The Taste of Lawrence Heights and Neptune", on Sunday, starting at noon, and going until 4 PM. The meeting place is 37 Varna Drive. The closest subway station is Lawrence West.
This walk will be about 4 hours long, and based on a previous Jane's Walk I did here 3 years ago, I would estimate the total distance to be around 4 Km. Unlike our typical TBN walks, these walks are very slow, and there is usually a lot of standing around and talking. Most Jane's walks are more about the neighbourhoods you are going through than the actual walk itself.
Nick Bello (former TBN member) will also be repeating his "Toronto Islands Sunset Walk" on Saturday evening.
I encourage everyone to have a look for walks that are in their neighbourhoods, or are easy to get to, or that they may find interesting.
