Thinking of next year

Have you made next year's cycling/winter vacation plans yet? TBN can help.

For winter, there's still space on our Wanakita ski weekend, on beautiful Koshlong Lake.

For next May, after rave reviews from 20 TBNers who did the ride in 2018, we plan a second excursion to New York's annual Five Boro Bike Tour on the May 5 weekend, when cyclists get the once a year chance to join 32,000 riders along roads and bridges that are normally closed to bicycle traffic.

And we're also looking at a TBN adventure to Montreal's June 2 Tour de l'Ile de Montreal, another "Sunday biking classic" along streets that are closed to motorized traffic.

Contact Jeannie at weekendtrips@tbn.ca if you want to join the organizing committee for the 5 Boro Ride, or if you want to help with a Montreal trip.

Skating's started

Check out the website for details of our Friday night excursions to some of Toronto's nicest skating rinks, The first outing, on November 30, is at Greenwood Park, which boasts a covered rink and a pleasure skating trail.

Reminders

Spin through the winter

TBN's winter spinning programme is under way, with weekly sessions to help you keep your cycling muscles in tune for next year.

Certified Master spinning instructor, coach and competitive cyclist Carmen Diges tailors her classes carefully for cyclists and tests participants' progress to improve their performance and meet their goals. The sessions take place on Wednesday evenings at the downtown Adelaide Club, which offers state-of-the-art bikes with power meter technology. See the TBN website for details on the cost and how to register.

City walks

Explore quiet streets and ravines within the megacity on our weekly program of city walks. Full details on the TBN website.
