Dinner and Dancing on the Danforth 4
Note that registration for this event is ONLY for the restaurant at 6:00 pm. You do not need to register for the band at Noonan's.
Our next D&DoD night out will be on Saturday, March 28th. Dinner will be at 6:00 pm at the legendary 7 Numbers, which has been serving great southern Italian soul food on the Danforth since 2000! The restaurant is at 307 Danforth Avenue, which is very close to Chester Subway Station. You can view the menu here.
This event is open to all TBN members and their guests.
View 7 Numbers on the map here.
Note that if you register and then not attend, and you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the event, you will be moved to the wait list for the next dinner you register for.
The band at Noonan's is The Tim Bovaconti Band. They played the TBN AGM in 2024, and were a big hit with those who attended. Come for a fun night of socializing and/or dancing with other members and their guests. Noonan's Irish Pub at 141 Danforth is very conveniently located just a very short walk away from Broadview Subway Station or 7 Numbers. The band starts at 9:30. Come join us for dinner (register on this page) or just show up at Noonan's.
Watch the band here.

There may be parking lots close to the subway station, or there may be street parking available on nearby side streets, but the best choice would be to use the subway.

PLEASE NOTE: All riders, including "30-Day-Trial" members, must register to participate in this CC. Please read registration details on the CC webpage
A shared favourite with WWs because of its close proximity to the city. This route gets your legs in gear at the outset with some hill climbs right away. But rest assured, you will be rewarded with a lovely descent providing views of the flat terrain of Holland Marsh, which you will soon be riding along. There are two lunch stop options: one is in Bradford (58km route; can also be a snack stop for the longer routes) and the other is in Schomberg (69km & 75km routes).
Start: 10:00am Meet at the King City Arena and Community Centre parking lot, located at 25 Doctors Lane in King City. It is the first street east of Keele, on the south side of King Road, after the intersection of King Road and Keele Street.

March Pub Quiz
You are invited to attend the monthly trivia night at Arisu Authentic Korean and Japanese Restaurant on Tuesday, March 31. Please register before Monday, March 30 at 6 pm.
Unfortunately, the Prenup Pub has closed down to make way for apartments. Fortunately, we have been able to move the quiz to a great Korean and Japanese restaurant. Arisu has a huge menu with an incredible variety of Japanese/Korean food including Korean BBQ, sushi, and a number of vegan/vegetarian options. It also has an extensive drink list featuring a good selection of wine, spirits, sake and soju. It has a good choice of bottled beers and six craft and Japanese beers on tap, which are available at the 1980s price of $5.99 a pint. View the full menu here.
Arisu also has a wonderful staff and a nice patio, which we may be able to use in the warmer months.
The schedule for the evening is as follows:
This will be an unusual pub quiz in that the participants will choose the categories before the quiz begins. Virtually any category is possible, including history, geography, 80s music, Soviet fashion, marine biology, supramolecular chemistry, and even cycling. The teams or four or five will brainstorm possible categories, and we all vote to determine the five most popular topics. Then, since each team will be responsible for one round of questions, they will work together to compose 8-10 questions in their assigned category. Phones are permitted only during this phase and during the break.
Arisu is conveniently located at 584 Bloor Street West on the corner of Bloor and Markham Street. It's a 30-second walk from Bathurst subway station if you use the Markham Street entrance. There is a large parking lot behind the restaurant.
View the map here.
Please note ride starts at 10:00AM!
We leave Victoria Square and while continuing to work out the winter kinks we make our way north to Annina's. The roads are usually good and the treat there never cease to please. I'm sure that everyone who participates will be as pleased as I am to finally get off the trainer (or not) and get outside on a real road with real hills and with real people.
A good time will be had by all.

On the first scheduled Saturday Morning Ride of 2026, you will be able to appreciate, while riding, some of the changes to be found in town on the lakefront/portlands. We will cross the new bridges now in place for the relocation of the Don River mouth. It's now rideable!
The ride starts from the parking lot on the Lakeshore, east of Coxwell and follows lakeshore and Martin Goodman trail (paths and streets) including the new Cherry Street bridge and on through the city to the Humber River lighthouse. There is no coffee stop on this route; bring your own snack for the pause at the turnaround. The return is by a very similar route. Total about 37kms - should finish about 12:30 to1:00pm.

Weather: The ride will be cancelled if there is bad weather (e.g. too cold, too wet, etc). If the weather looks doubtful, check the website after 8am on the day of the ride.
We tenatively plan on doing a City Walk on this date, unless the weather is good enough for cycling. Check back later to confirm. The start location, route and other information may not be announced until a few days before the walk. This allows us to select a route appropriate for the expected weather conditions, reflect current events, or other items of interest.
We will meet at about 10:00 AM at a location to be determined, and the walk will begin at 10:10.
Please check the website 2 hours before the start time, in the unlikely event that the walk is rescheduled or cancelled. If the walk is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am on the day of the walk.
We have introduced a 30-Day-Trial membership class which allows "guests" to participate in most activities over the span of a 1-month period. We are accepting Guest registrations.

We have a snack stop at a small Tim Hortons near Sherway Gardens, but you might want to bring a snack of your own.
The Ride with GPS map for the route is linked below, as well as a simplified cue sheet. The RwGPS auto-generated cuesheet has not been checked, but the linked cue sheet has been optimised for Sunday Urban Rollers.

VICTORIA SQUARE TO BROOKS FARM
A ride well known to the WW and FF programs, this is the first time it has been scheduled on a Sunday for Country Cruisers. The ride departs from Victoria Square and continues north along favourable roads, with some hills, to Brooks Farm. According to the WWs, "the roads are good and the chocolate milk and butter tarts never cease to please." With its reasonably close proximity to Toronto, this is a nice ride to do early in the season, as a "warm up" for lots of riding in the months ahead.
Start: 10:00am Meet at the Victoria Square Park parking lot, located at 2929 Elgin Mills Rd. E., in Markham.
Distances: 69km & 85km

Karaoke Evening
This will be a fun event where TBN members (and guests) will have their own private Karaoke room at one of Toronto's best Karaoke venues. Below are some comments from regular visitors.
“Hands down the best karaoke spot in Toronto! The song choices are endless, the tablet system is so easy to use, and the staff makes you feel like a VIP.” – Lisa M.
“Perfect for parties! The private rooms are spacious, the sound system is top-notch, and the energy is always electric.” – Jason K. “Love the atmosphere! The tablet app makes song selection a breeze, great drinks, great service, and so much fun. Can’t wait to come back!” – Emily R.
“Perfect for parties! The private rooms are spacious, the sound system is top-notch, and the energy is always electric.” – Jason K.
Bar + Karaoke Lounge has different size rooms for groups from 3 to 100 people. We will be in a room that accommodates 9 - 15 people. There is a flat rate of $70 an hour for that room (tax and tip not included). The cost per person will depend on the number of people who participate, so feel free to bring a guest.
The venue has a selection of snacks including chicken wings, nuggets and fries. There are also soft drinks, juice, tea, a fairly large selection of beer, cocktails and a reasonable wine list. View the menu and other information about the venue here.
Bar + Karaoke Lounge is conveniently located on Yonge Street between College and Dundas. It's a four-minute walk from TMU (Dundas) Station. View the venue on the map here.

Urban cycling: The ride starts from the Playter Gdns parkette at Cambridge Ave and Danforth (east end of the viaduct) and about 100m west of Broadview TTC station. Street parking is available but hard to find in the area. A GreenP parking lot is at the back (east) of the Broadview TTC station.
This is a new (2026) shorter version of the ride that takes into account that early April weather might not be the best and many of us may be a bit out of shape. The route will provide riders with some experience of newer cycling city infrastructure, new views and new ways around town. The longer version will run in later summer when it's warmer and the farmers market at Humber Bay Park is open.
The ride will be at Urban Roller pace - for more details click here.

ROLLING HALTON ROMP
We are back in the wonderful Halton Hills! Enjoy the rolling Halton Hills as we cycle "romp" from Georgetown to Eden Mills, with lunch in Acton on the 58km route. Unfortunately, on the long 84km route, the former Dar's Delight Cafe in Moffat, where the lunch stop has been for many years, is not longer operating. Thus, there is no official lunch stop on this route and it is recommended you bring lunch, or pick something up in Campbellville or Acton. Another option is to ride an extra 3km (total of 6km there and back) from Moffat along 15 Sideroad to where there is a Country Style coffee shop and gas station.
Start: Stewarttown Middle School
Driving directions: Take the 401 West to Trafalgar Road (Exit 328), continue to 15th Sideroad and turn right at the lights. Stewarttown Middle School is right at the southeast corner of Trafalgar Rd. and 15th Sideroad. Park in the school parking lot.
Start time: 10:00am
Distances: 60km & 86km

Weather: The ride could be cancelled because of the weather (e.g. too cold, too wet, too windy). If the weather looks doubtful, check the website after 8:00 am on the day of the ride.
Safety Reminder: A helmet is mandatory. Signal all turns and stops. If you are unable to signal, call out the turn. In the meantime you must practise riding with one hand, so that eventually you are able to signal. This is important in traffic. Give adequate warning to cyclists behind you by calling out "stopping" when you intend to stop.
