On Saturday October 29th, I am one of the volunteers at the inaugural Día de Muertos (Day of The Dead) 9K (running) race being held at Ontario Place.
The 9K race is to reflect the 9 levels of the underworld in Mexican lore to represent the 9 levels of the underworld before you reach paradise. There is also a 3K family run/walk, and a 1K kids run.
They are still looking for a few more volunteers for gear check, course marshals and to assist with the activations/experiences taking place before the race. If anyone you know would like to help out, please have them register at:
