Win the morning, win the day!

This is a pilot project for leisure-wheeler paced riders interested in joining Relaxed Pace No-Drop Country RIdes at some point and want to be prepared mentally and physically in climbing some hills.

There is no short cut: come out, gain the mileage, do the hard work, then join our No-Drop Country Ride with the confidence that you can do it!

Route No Drop In City Sat AM Endurance Training

This route starts at Dieppe Park at Cosburn to Broadview, down Pottery, up Bayview, Moore, Mt Pleasant and Beltline.  If you have never climbed Bayview Extension, this is a 1.5km steady climb with average 3.9% gradient.  It is recommended that you tried out our Wednesday training ride before attempting this.

Route may change slightly during ride - download the route and follow the leader.

Gear recommended: light weight road bike with responsive brakes.

Washroom at the Sport Complex building is not opened at 8am.  There is a Tim Hortons off OConnor and Donlands very close to Don Mills exit from DVP.

RIDE LEADER:  ALICE CHAN (email: no-drop@tbn.ca)

**** Ride will be cancelled by 9pm the day before the event in case of unfavorable weather or insufficient participation.

What is a Relaxed Paced No-Drop Rider?

  • Riders must be willing to make every effort to depart, ride, and return together as a group (no riding far ahead beyond 0.4km).  Strong riders must reduce their pace to accommodate slower riders within reason.
  • You have to be a team player to make our No Drop ride a success.

If you are uncertain whether this level is appropriate to your riding level, click here.

* Helmets are mandatory, bring spare inner tube for YOUR bike, check your bike in advance to ensure no mechanical issues, bring enough water to prepare for a slow long ride under the sun.
