The David Peebles Secret Circuit
Description: A variation on the very first (and shortest) Tuesday ride that David created. This is the original description from 2003: “A half-hidden ravine ride for freelancers, shift workers, people between jobs, retirees, and ne’er-do-wells". This downtown route has a minimum of street riding and only two hills (OK, so the first one is Poplar Plains). Some unpaved paths. This variation is taking into account the construction at the Eglinton West Subway Station.
Lunch stop at the Madison Pub.
Start: 10:30 a.m. in Taddle Creek Park, one block north of the Bedford exit of the St. George subway station on the West side of Bedford. (Try to arrive at 10:15 AM, to allow for subway delays, bike problems, etc.)
Distance: 18 kms
Leader: Vicki
Route: RWGPS
Map and Cue sheet: Click Here
Weather: The ride could be cancelled because of the weather (e.g. too cold, too wet, too windy). If the weather looks doubtful, check this page after 8:00 AM on the day of the ride.
This is a Leisure Wheeler level ride. If you are uncertain whether this level is appropriate to your riding level, click here.
