Meet at about 10:00 AM in front of the St. Clair West Subway Station on St. Clair Ave. West. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.

We will walk about 8 km in one big loop, returning to the St. Clair West Subway Station. The planned route is all on city streets and includes walking up a set of fairly steep steps called the Baldwin Steps, which we will climb slowly but surely. There are 110 steps.

There may be parking lots close to the subway station, or there may be street parking available on nearby side streets, but the best choice would be to use the subway.

Subway service on Line 2 between Jane to Ossington stations will be replaced by shuttle buses on Sunday, March 29 due to planned signal work, but  please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.

Points of interest and early exits along the way include:

  • 0.0 Km – St. Clair West Subway Station (start of walk, washroom at Loblaws, coffee)
  • 3.0 Km – The Baldwin Steps
  • 3.25 Km – Casa Loma - residence and stables
