For today's walk, let's meet at about 10:00 AM in Union Station, (not the subway station, but the actual train station), in the Lower Level Food Court, (near the GO York Concourse), and NOT in the Great Hall where we have met recently. You should be able to find us in the south-west corner of the Food Court, near Bangkok Buri, Scaccia, and Roywoods. (If you cannot find us, please call my cell, see below). The walk will begin at 10:10 AM.

The weather is forecast indicates there may be some melting and refreezing by Sunday, so I intend to walk on sidewalks in the downtown area that are likely to be clear. We will walk in a loop of 8 to 10 Km, see a few interesting things along the way, and return to the start where we can go to the WVRST restaurant in Union Station. There will be one or two washroom stop and a coffee stop. The exact route is still being determined.

The route will be entirely on city streets or paved paths, so please wear shoes or boots appropriate for the weather.

Some of the Points of Interest along the way include:

  • 0.0 Km – Union Station Food Court (start of walk/washroom/coffee)
  • x.x Km – additional points of interest to be added
  • 8.0 to 10 Km – Union Station (end of walk, washroom, lunch stop at WVRST)

The RwGPS route is will be available shortly.

The last time this entry was updated, there were no scheduled subway outages, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.

Please check the website 2 hours before the start time, in the unlikely event that the walk is rescheduled or cancelled.

We have introduced a 30-Day-Trial membership class which allows "guests" to participate in most activities over the span of a 1-month period, for a fee of $10.

For a brief description of the City walk program, please check the TBN website under PROGRAMS - FALL/WINTER - CITY WALKS (https://tbn.ca/programs/fallwinter/citywalks). If you have any questions, email me at citywalks@tbn.ca.

If you have trouble finding us at the start, please call my cell at 416-917-8866. If I don't answer, try again, as I may miss the first call.
