Meet in the Loblaws at St Clair West Station, at about 10:00 AM. The weather is forecast to be very cold, so let’s gather inside the building in the open area on the top floor, at the south-west corner of the building, near the elevator. The walk will begin at 10:10 AM.
The intent is to follow the course of “lost” Taddle Creek to the Eaton Centre, then walk to the Town Crier Pub for lunch, and end up at St Andrew Station. The walk will be about 9.5 Km. The weather is forecast to be very cold, and may be windy. If the weather turns out to be uncomfortable, I have a couple of alternate routes that will make it easier to exit early. The walk may be re-routed or shortened and may end at a subway station other than St Andrew.
This is an end-to-end walk, and we will not be returning to the start. The route will be entirely on city streets or paved paths, so please wear shoes or boots appropriate for the weather.
We will see a few interesting things along the way and will have a coffee stop, and several washroom and warm up stops. See Points of Interest below for details.

The RwGPS route is https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53779366. If the route is snowy, we can avoid some of the more difficult stretches by following https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53801204, and if conditins are even worse we can follow https://ridewithgps.com/routes/53801306, which gets us over to Yonge and we can get on the subway more easily.
The last time this entry was updated, there will be no subway service on Line 1 between St George and St Andrew stations this weekend. Museum, Queen’s Park, St Patrick and Osgoode stations will be closed. Please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.
Check the website 2 hours before the start time - the walk could be rescheduled or cancelled.
We have introduced a 30-Day-Trial membership class which allows "guests" to participate in most activities over the span of a 1-month period, for a fee of $10.
