Meet in the Tim Hortons at the south-west corner of College and University, near the Queen's Park Subway Station at about 10:00 AM. The walk will begin at 10:10.

The walk will be about 10 Km. We will walk in a loop, returning to the start. The route will be entirely on city streets or paved paths, so please wear shoes or boots appropriate for the weather.

We will see a few interesting things along the way and end up in Chinatown where we can stop for a snack or lunch. There are washrooms in the Tim Hortons at the start and finish and we will have a coffee stop around the middle at either an Italian or a Portuguese cafe/bakery. There is an additional washroom stop in the UofT.

Since we are downtown (University/Ossington/Harbord/Dundas area) there will be fairly easy access to TTC buses/streetcars for those who do not want to walk the full distance.

Some of the Points of Interest along the way include:

  • 0.0 Km - Tim Hortons, University & College, near Queen's Park Subway Station (start of walk/washroom)
  • 2.5 Km – Sidney Smith Hall (washrooms)
  • 5.3 Km Sicilian Sidewalk Café – (possible coffee stop, early exit to TTC College St)
  • 6.4 Km Caldense Bakery/Nova Era Bakery – (coffee stop, washrooms, early exit to TTC Ossington or TTC Dundas streetcar)
  • 8.5 Km – Chinatown - (House of Gourmet/King’s Noodle and other restaurants for lunch)

  • 10.0 Km  Queens Park Subway Station (end of walk, washroom in Tim Hortons)
