Sunday Urban Roller - Unionville
Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Registration is free for TBN members. Non-members can now purchase a 30 day trial membership for $10 here and then can register for the ride. If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation by Saturday evening. Attendance will be checked at the start. If you register after 8 am on the day of the ride bring a copy of the confirmation email, either printed or electronic, to show to the ride leader.
We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, a helmet.

SHORTENED, not cancelled. The current forecasts (Environment Canada, Weather Network) both show showers and thunderstorms starting around 2 or 3 pm. This ride typically doesn't get back to the start until 3:30 pm. So instead of the full Unionville ride a shortened version (44km) that doesn't go to Unionville is being offered that will hopefully get us back before the rain starts. There will be a snack/lunch stop at Tim Hortons. The RwGPS map is linked below.
For this favourite TBN ride we will be heading up to the Unionville area to try the upper Rouge River trail, then return on a long, almost uninterrupted, run down Pharmacy Avenue. Parts of the Rouge trail are hard packed limestone screenings rather than pavement but should be managable for most bikes.
Lunch is at Tim Hortons near the halfway point . You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the parking lot of Shoppers World, at the SW corner of Victoria Park Ave and Danforth Ave. The RwGPS map shows the old start point. Please disregard.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday. Please check before leaving for the ride.
