CANCELLED due to weather forecasts (Environment Canada and the Weather Network) that indicate a 60 to 80 % chance of showers and thunderstorms this morning and early afternoon. This ride goes a bit further into the countryside where there isn't much shelter available if storms occur.
NOTE: If you were planning on taking the subway from downtown to Finch you'll need to find an alternative. The Line 1 Yonge subway will be closed from St Clair to College for the entire weekend. Shuttle buses will be running on this section instead. Please allow extra time to get to the start.
For this TBN Urban Roller ride we will head up north to see a small bit of the countryside, a bit further than our usual Maple route
Lunch is at a Tim Hortons - A&W a bit past the halfway point . You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the commuter parking lot of the Finch TTC station, located on Hendon Avenue, on the west side of Yonge Street, one block north of Finch Avenue West.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or for other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday. Please check before you leave for the ride.
The Ride with GPS map for the route is linked below, as well as a simplified cue sheet. The linked cue sheet has been optimised for Sunday Urban Rollers.
