This is an Urban Roller level ride. If you are uncertain whether this level is appropriate to your riding level, click here. For a more nuanced description check this page.

NOTES: Getting to the start from the east end has a couple of wrinkles. First, Bloor Street is closed to westbound traffic from Avenue Road to Spadina. If you are riding, just use the new bike lanes on the south side of Bloor. They're wide enough for two way traffic, just be considerate. Second, the Toronto Marathon is Sunday. Here's a link to the maps so you can see if it affects you.  The forecast (as of Friday) has a possibility of showers. If during the ride it becomes too unpleasant to continue (like last year) we may cut the ride short at the lunch stop and take the nearby subway back downtown. Bring your Presto card just in case.

Now that the construction on Chesswood has finished (including cycling lanes!) we are returning the older version of the route.

A medium length ride to start May. This one will take us up to the Humber trail, then along (mostly) quiet streets to Downsview Park, a large urban park that is a work in progress. Then up to York University to a nearby Tim Hortons for lunch. From there it's west on the Finch Hydro corridor trail. Then it's a long run south beside Hwy 400, but without the traffic. Back under the 401 and retrace our steps to the start.

Meet at  Etienne Brule Park for a 10 am start.

Part of the parking lot at Brule is still closed for construction so so you may need to use the parking lot of Kings Mill Park, just back across the bridge over the Humber and on the south side. It's the first small lot on the right as you enter the park.

The Ride with GPS map for the route is linked below, as well as a simplified cue sheet. The RwGPS auto-generated cuesheet has not been checked, but the linked cue sheet has been optimised for Sunday Urban Rollers.

If a ride is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances a cancellation notice will be posted around 8 am on Sunday morning. Please check before leaving for the ride.

See you Sunday
