City Walk - From Finch Station

  • If you are not a member of TBN, the fee is $10. (Your registration will automatically cancel if payment not received within 15 minutes).

Meet at about 10:00 AM at Finch Station in the Passenger Pick-up & Drop-off area (Kiss & Ride) at the north-west corner of Yonge and Hendon. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.

We will walk in a loop, for about 10 Km, around North York and see a couple of points of interest along the way, stop at Centrepoint Mall for a coffee and/or snack, then return to the start (Finch Station). The walk will be entirely on city streets, so please wear shoes or boots appropriate for the weather.

There is currently no scheduled subway outages for this date, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0 in case there are any changes.

Points of interest (preliminary) and early exits along the way include:

  • 0.0 Km – Finch Station (start of walk)
  • 1.2 Km – Edithvale Community Centre (washrooms)
  • 2.7 Km  Cummer Burial Grounds (point of interest)
  • 3.2 Km – North York Station (early exit, access to subway)
  • 3.7 Km Earl Haig Secondary School (point of interest)
  • 4.2 Km – 21 Kingsdale Ave. (point of interest)
  • 5.0 Km – Mitchell Field Community Centre (washrooms)
  • 6.4 Km – Finch Station (early exit, access to subway)
  • 8.0 Km – Centrepoint Mall (washrooms, coffee, snacks)
  • 8.5 Km – Goulding Park Community Centre (washrooms)
  • 10.0 Km – Finch Station (end of walk, washrooms, access to subway)

We are accepting Guest registrations.

If you have not registered for the walk, you may NOT join the walk.

If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.

REMINDER: A mask and hand sanitizer are recommended.
