The hike is not difficult but there are several hills. Depending on trail conditions and weather, poles may be recommended. Crampon style icers may/may not be required on the hike but they should be in your knapsack just in case. As well as being scenic, the hike features a number of landmarks, including the former Eaton summer home on Lake Seneca and an Augustinian monastery on land once owned by Sir Henry Pellat, who built and lived in Casa Loma. The barn on the former Pellat estate north of King City is still standing and was designed by E.J. Lennox, the man who designed Casa Loma.
