This is a take on last Sunday's Wine Lovers' Tour, except this tour has only one route; and crosses the Niagara Peninsula to Port Colborne, with a lunch stop at The Pie Guys Bakery and Cafe on West St, right beside the Welland Canal. This year's peach crop is arriving and peach pies are on the menu. Pie Guys serves 'gourmet' lunch 11:30 to 2 PM, Mon to Sat.
Bonus - Port Colborne is having Canal Days this coming weekend. Extra bonus - there will be vessel deck tours of the U.S. Brig Niagara, Lettie G. Howard, and E.M. Cotter Fireboat - these boats will be tied up at West St.
Start location: Lincoln Community Centre, 4261 Central Ave, Beamsville.
If you are on the QEW coming from Toronto, don't take the first exit for Ontario St. It's the second Ontario St exit - the sign says Beamsville.

Route: Across the Peninsula 115 km, 400 metres elevation.
At the start there is a 4 km climb, average grade 4% up onto the Beamsville Bench. Otherwise, it's pretty flat. Takes O'Reilly's Bridge across the Welland River. Path beside the Welland Canal. Gets some elevation around Effingham. Passes through Ball's Falls Conservation Area. Some trails. Some lovely quiet country roads.
