We will take the GO Niagara Excursion train to the Niagara Falls VIA station. The train arrives at 11:30 am. Since it's about 20 km to the lunch stop at Walkers Market, we will have lunch around 1:30 pm. You can bring a lunch or purchase something at Walkers. We will visit a chocolate factory; and ride down country roads past wineries and vineyards. We will visit the Marynissen winery, and the Oast store after riding through Niagara-on-the-Lake. We will ride the Waterfront trail to St. Catharines, Port Dalhousie, and then to Frescos for dinner. The St. Catharines VIA station is less than 2 km away. Departure is at 8:30 pm.
There are regular fares for the GO train. However, a GO Weekend Day Pass is only $10. If you use Presto, you can tap at the respective stations and don't need to stand in line to buy a ticket. On the return trip, remember to tap off with your Presto card if you get off before Union Station.
Try to be at the station 15 minutes before the train arrives.
