Sunday Urban Roller - Etobicoke Meander
Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Registration is free for TBN members. Non-members are welcome with the online payment of a $10 fee. If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation by Saturday. Attendance will be checked at the start.
We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, a helmet.
TTC Note: If you are planning on using the subway to get to the start it will be more challenging than usual. Line 1 (Yonge) will be closed between York Mills and St. Clair stations all weekend. Line 2 (Bloor Danforth) will open late (noon) between Broadview and St. George stations.
Cherry Blossoms Note: It is expected that the cherry blossoms (sakura) will be in full bloom this weekend. As a result the park will be busier than usual and it will be difficult to park anywhere near if you are planning on driving to the start. Expect to park further away and leave extra time to get to the Grenadier Cafe.
A tour of Etobicoke along mostly quiet streets and paths with a nice return along the Lakeshore Trail.
We have a lunch stop at the nicer larger Tim Hortons north of Sherway Gardens, but you might want to bring a snack of your own.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the Grenadier Cafe in the centre of High Park. The park is currently closed to cars on the weekend so if you are arriving by car you may need to park on the street nearby. Remember to allow extra time to get to the start point.
If a ride is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances a cancellation notice will be posted around 8 am on Sunday morning. Please check before leaving for the ride.
