City Walk - Hoggs Hollow

Join us for an 8.0 km hike exploring Hogg's Hollow and the former village of York Mills, with a couple of hills in a loop. 

There is limited parking at the York Mills Station Park and Ride (northwest corner of Yonge and Wilson). Enter from Wilson Ave.

If coming by TTC, exit at York Mills Subway Station.

Meet on the 2nd level of the York Mills Centre near the washrooms (between Bento Box and Chicken Quarter) on the east side of the food court. If you have difficulty finding us, please call 416-570-9531. Meet at about 10:00 AM. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.

Washrooms are also available in the Independent grocery store and in the Locke Library at the corner of Yonge and Lawrence.

The route will be entirely on city streets. Some streets do not have sidewalks. Please wear footwear appropriate for the weather.

No scheduled subway outages have been posted yet, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/subway-service#e=0  in case there are any changes.

Points of interest include:

  • 0.0 Km – York Mills Centre (start of walk, washrooms) 
  • 0.2 Km – Hogg’s Hollow Disaster
  • 1.0 Km – Millstone Parkette
  • 4.4 km -  Alexander Muir Memorial Gardens (north end of park)
  • 4.8 Km – Locke Library (washrooms, early exit to Lawrence Station)
  • 4.9 Km – Brewing Brokers (coffee and real estate); there is also a small take-out only Tims at Yonge and Lawrence Washroom is in grocery store.
  • 5.6 Km – Lawrence Park Stream (Woburn and Jedburgh)
  • 7.2 Km – Loretto Abbey
  • 7.7 Km – 4000 Yonge St 
  • 8.0 Km – York Mills Centre (end of walk, washrooms)

    We are accepting Guest registrations.

    If you have not registered for the walk, you may NOT join the walk.

    If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.

    REMINDER: A mask and hand sanitizer are recommended.
