Our start location is Fairview Mall, which is located at the Don Mills Subway Station at the end of the Sheppard line. We meet at 10:00 am on the north side of the mall, at the exit doors near the Cineplex theatre on the upper level. If you have trouble finding us, please call 416-570-9531. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.
Washrooms and refreshments are available in the mall. While there are no specific additional locations for these amenities en route, there are slight detours we can take at a couple of spots along the way if necessary; these will add 1.5 - 2 km to the walk.
We will tread on residential streets, main streets, and through parkland, exploring the history of the area. Distance (without detours) is 7.7 km. This walk ends at Fairview Mall just in time for lunch.
No scheduled subway outages have been posted yet, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/Service-Changes in case there are any changes.
Points of interest and early exits along the way include:
- 0.0 Km – Fairview Mall (start of walk, washrooms, refreshments)
- 2.3 Km – early exit to Leslie Station
- 5.1 to 7.0 Km – early exits to Don Mills bus (7 to 10 minute service)
- 7.7 Km – Fairview Mall (end of walk, washrooms, refreshments)
