The hike is not difficult but there are several hills. Depending on trail conditions and weather, poles and icers may be recommended. As well as being scenic, the hike features a number of landmarks, including the former Eaton summer home on Lake Seneca and an Augustinian monastery on land once owned by Sir Henry Pellat, who built and lived in Casa Loma. The barn on the former Pellat estate north of King City is still standing and was designed by E.J. Lennox, the man who designed Casa Loma.
