The route gets us rather quickly into the countryside. The lunch stop for the 60-km route is at Lowville park, while for the 82-km route it is at Courtcliffe Park, so in either case you will need to bring your own lunch (there is a General Store just before Courtcliffe Park, which may or may not have nutritious food).

Unfortunately, this  one day, there is no GO train service between Union Station and Oakville, with bus service instead. However, a given bus takes only 2 bikes and so cannot be counted on (Normally, the 8:44 train from Union Station (8:53 from Exhibition Station) arrives in Oakville at 9:26; hence, the 9:40 AM start time - which seems best not to change at this time (3 days before the ride)).
