Welcome to our inaugural Thursday City Walk. Meet at about 10:00 AM at the Yonge Sheppard Centre, 4841 Yonge St, just outside the main entrance on Yonge St. This is about 60 m north of the north-east corner of Yonge and Sheppard. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.

We will walk approximately 9 Km to Bayview Village Shopping Centre and back, using mostly quiet residential streets. We will see a few points of interest along the way. The route will be mostly on quiet residential streets and a few paved pathways. We will within about 500 m of Sheppard Avenue most of the time, for anyone wanting to get on the bus.

There are parking lots close to the start of the walk, although they may be fairly expensive during a workday, or there may be street parking available on nearby side streets. The best choice may be to use the subway.

No scheduled subway outages have been posted yet, but please check Subway service (ttc.ca) in case there are any changes.

Points of interest and early exits along the way include:

  • 0.0 Km – Yonge-Sheppard Centre (start of walk, washrooms)
  • 0.8 Km – Avondale Park and pedestrian access under 401
  • 2.0 Km Glendora Park
