Meet at Yonge and Lawrence (near Lawrence Subway Station) outside of Locke Library on the Southeast corner at 6:30 PM for a walk of about 6 km.
We will walk through local neighbourhood streets specially selected for their beautiful Christmas light displays. There will be lots of opportunities to stop and take pictures along the way! The walk will end about 8:30 pm at Sorn Thai Restaurant (www.sornthai.com), the optional dinner stop. The restaurant is located at Yonge Street and Briar Hill Avenue about 500 metres North of Eglinton Station.
Unlike previous years there will be no mid walk washroom/coffee break at Sunnybrook Hospital. There are some streets on this walk without sidewalks so please wear something that will make you easily visible to drivers and walk facing traffic. This will be in the evening after dark so warmer clothes will be necessary and you may want to wear winter boots if there is snow on the ground. Season’s Greetings Everyone!
No scheduled subway outages have been posted yet, but please check Subway service (ttc.ca) in case there are any changes.
The route is available on Ride with GPS at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/41578348.
