City Walk - Hillcrest/Wychwood/Casa Loma Walk

Meet at about 10:00 am in front of the St. Clair West Subway Station on St. Clair Ave. West. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.

We will walk about 10 km in one big loop, returning to the St. Clair West Subway Station. The planned route is almost all on city streets and includes walking down a set of fairly steep steps called the Baldwin Steps. There are 110 steps.

There may be parking lots close to the subway station, or there may be street parking available on nearby side streets. But the best choice would be to use the subway.

No scheduled subway outages have been posted yet, but please check https://www.ttc.ca/service-advisories/Service-Changes in case there are any changes.

Points of interest and early exits along the way include:

  • 0.0 Km – St. Clair West Subway Station (start of walk, washroom at Loblaws, coffee)
  • 1.0 Km – Wychwood Barns (washroom) 
  • 2.5 Km – City Viewpoint
  • 3.5 Km – Wychwood Park
  • 4.5 Km – Tollkeepers Cottage Museum
  • 5.3 Km – early exit (600m walk to St. Clair West Subway Station) 
  • 6.0 Km – Casa Loma - residence and stables
  • 6.25 Km – Spadina House Museum and Park - City Viewpoint
  • 6.5 Km – Baldwin Steps
  • 6.75 Km – Toronto Archives Building
  • 8.5 Km – St. Clair Reservoir (underground) and Sir Winston Churchill Park (city viewpoint)
  • 9.5 Km – St. Clair West Subway Station (end of walk, washroom at Loblaws, coffee)

If you have not registered for the walk, you may NOT join the walk.

If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.

REMINDER: A mask and hand sanitizer are recommended.
