Sunday Urban Roller - Milliken Club Picnic
Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Registration is free for TBN members. Non-members are welcome with the online payment of a $10 fee. If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation by Saturday. Attendance will be checked at the start. Attendance will be checked at the start. We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, a helmet.
TTC Note: If you were planning on using the TTC to get to the start of the ride (or home) please note that the Line 1 Yonge subway will be closed between Finch and St. Clair stations this weekend for signal upgrades. Shuttle buses will run in their place and some will have bike racks on the front of the bus. Please allow extra time to get to the start.
This year we welcome back the TBN club picnic, albeit with a few changes. Most significant of these is a new location, at Milliken Park in northeast Scarborough instead of Unionville. We will still be starting the Urban Roller ride from Finch, but with a new route to get us to the picnic. The food this year is expected to be sandwiches and wraps, hence no mention of a BBQ in the ride title.
There is a separate listing for attendance to help in food planning. Please look for it HERE and register there as well. THE PICNIC IS SERVED UNDER A 200 PERSON GAZEBO AND WILL GO AHEAD RAIN OR SHINE!! If you wish to cancel your registration for this ride, please send an email to technical@tbn.ca.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the commuter parking lot of the Finch TTC station, located on Hendon Avenue, on the west side of Yonge Street, one block north of Finch Avenue West.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or for other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday. Please check before leaving for the ride.
