A shorter (60 km) and a longer (74 km) route are possible, both ending up at the same lunch stop. The ride brings us through the historic Village of Unionville, where it is possible to stop at Jake's on Main for pub fare or to continue to Enterprise Avenue, stopping at Aroma cafe on the south side just before Birchmount Road. A washroom stop should be possible at the gas station at the SE corner of Elgin Mills and Leslie (km 17.5) as well as at the lunch stops.
Meet north of Finch Subway Station at "Finch" west parking lot on the north side of Hendon Ave, just west of Yonge St.
If a substantial part of the Yonge Subway is closed the day of this ride, alternatives for those planning to take the subway are needed: either the shuttle buses (which can carry 2 bikes each), or cycling up. Here is a recommended route, using the bike lane under Hwy 401 and avoiding Yonge Street north of Hwy 401.
N.B. If you are travelling north on Yonge St, keep going past Finch Ave and turn left onto Hendon Ave. The parking lot is on the right near 18 Hendon Ave, North York.
