Sunday Urban Roller - Eldorado Park
Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Registration is free for TBN members. Non-members are welcome with the online payment of a $10 fee. We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, a helmet.
TTC note: If you are planning on using the TTC to get to the start, please note that the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway between Broadview and St. George stations will open late (noon) on Sunday. Shuttle buses will be running and some will have bike racks. Please allow extra time to get to the start.
Travel through Mississauga and get rewarded with a beautiful rest spot in Eldorado Park.
You will need to bring your own lunch on this ride as opportunities to pick something up on the way are poor, and there is no food for sale at the park.
The route was revised a few years back to eliminate the dreary section along McLaughlin and allow us to see a bit of what Meadowvale used to look like before it was swallowed by the suburbs that took its name but none of its charm. It was well received so we're sticking with it.
This ride is considered to be at the upper end of the Urban Roller category. It is not recommended for Leisure Wheelers.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the north parking lot of the Kipling subway TTC station. If you are driving the parking lot can only be accessed from Dundas St.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, the cancellation will be posted by 8 am on Sunday. Please check the website before leaving for the ride.
