Sunday Urban Roller - Oakville Odyssey with Nine Creeks Trail return
Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Registration is free for TBN members. Non-members are welcome with the online payment of a $10 fee. We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, a helmet.
CANCELLED due to forecast showers and thunderstorms (Environment Canada and Weather Network). The ride has been rescheduled to August 7th. You will need to re-register for that date.
TTC Note: If you are planning on taking the Subway to the start of the ride please note the section of Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) beteen Broadview and St. George stations will open after noon on Sunday. Shuttle buses will be running between these stations and most will have bike racks on the front. Allow extra time to reach the start.
For a newer version of this old favourite TBN Urban Roller ride we ride to Oakville using the usual route along the Waterfront Trail, and then return along a new section of trail that opened a couple of years ago.
Lunch is at Tim Hortons in Oakville. You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the SOUTH commuter parking lot of the Kipling TTC station. If you are driving to the start, the lot is accessed from Kipling Avenue, south of Bloor and south of the bridge over the tracks.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or for other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday. Please check the website before leaving for the ride.
