For Sunday, October 31, we will be doing our second in-person walk since the start of the pandemic. For a brief description of some of the changes to help make the walks as safe as possible, please check the TBN website under PROGRAMS - FALL/WINTER - CITY WALKS (https://tbn.ca/programs/fallwinter/citywalks).
Meet at 10:00 AM in Dundas Square. We will be somewhere around the middle of the open area, away from other groups of people. We will begin the walk at 10:10 sharp.
If needed, please visit the washrooms at Dundas Square before coming to the start, as we will leave directly from there and will not have a washroom stop until we return to the start in about 4 Km. Washrooms at Dundas Square are located underground, and can be accessed through the pavilion in the north-west corner of the Square.
We will walk in a loop, first east along Dundas, then north into Cabbagetown, and return to Dundas Square. Then we will do a second loop skirting the east side of Chinatown and return to Dundas Square.
The distance for the first loop is about 4.2Km, and the distance for the complete walk is about 8.2 Km. The walk will be entirely on city streets. Bathrooms will be available at Dundas Square, at the start, at the finish, and at the mid-point.
Vehicle parking is available in numerous nearby lots, including one directly under Dundas Square. The closest public transit is Dundas Station.
There is no scheduled subway outage for Sunday, but please check TTC Scheduled Subway Closures or Subway service (ttc.ca) in case there are any changes.
Points of interest and early exits along the way include:
