Please note: You must register to participate on the ride. Under the Phase 3 Provincial guidelines we are permitted up to 100 participants, as unlikely as that seems. Registration is allowed until Saturday midnight.
We are accepting "guest rider" registrations for this event. Guest registrations are $10 payable via PayPal.
We are still under Covid-19 guidelines, so remember to bring and wear your mask in appropriate situations and maintain social distancing. Also, hand sanitizer
For this ride we will be heading from Kings Mill Park down Royal York Road to the Lakeshore and the Waterfront Trail, then up north via a combination of mostly quiet streets and trails. After lunch we will use a bit of the more recent cycling infrastructure along Eglinton, then back into quiet streets, finishing up travelling alongside the Humber River on the lesser used west side road that avoids the current construction on the other side. We may even see a few of the last salmon heading up the river.
Lunch is at a (new to us) Tim Hortons at the 30 km point, a bit past halfway. You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the parking lot of Kings Mill Park, located just down the hill on Old Mill Road. Parking is a bit limited, so if you are driving to the start you might want to use one of the adjacent streets. pay parking is available in the lot just across from the Old Mill hotel. The nearest TTC subway stop is Old Mill.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday.
The Ride with GPS map for the route is linked below, as well as a simplified cue sheet. The linked cue sheet has been optimised for Sunday Urban Rollers.
