This ride gets us quickly into the countryside from our starting point. Meet just outside the Aldershot GO train station on the south side, next to the parking lot. We can stop in Lynden, but apart from the General Store which sells bottled water and pop (and lots of alcohol!), there is nothing else, so bring your own food and plenty of water. There is a nice long (18.8 km) stretch on a partly shaded rail trail on the return leg from Lynden, with an optional detour to a great cafe in Dundas.
For those arriving by train, the 8:51 AM Lakeshore West GO train is scheduled to arrive at Aldershot at 9:39 AM, although it can take some time to find your way to the parking lot on the south side.
