Taking the advantage of the last Niagara Bike train before they stop the operation after the Labour Day Weekend, we are going to do the RIDE TO NIAGARA FALLS AND TAKE THE GO TRAIN BACK again.

Date: Saturday September  4th.
Start: Burlington GO station south parking lot. 2101 Fairview St, Burlington.
Time: 8:00 am.
Distance: 100 km.

Return GO train to Burlington: Boarding at 3:16 pm arriving at 4:36 pm

We will have two options for our riders.

1) Easier route along the lakefront and Niagara-On-The-Lake. This is the less challenging of the two with pancake flat terrain and smooth pavements of service roads and Niagara-On-The-Lake with plenty of bake shops, ice cream stands and fruit stands. You can virtually eat your way to Niagara Falls if you wish! Lots of fruit stands this time of the year!

2) More challenging but scenic route of the two routes. We will climb up to the top of Niagara Escarpment from Stoney Creek and then ride along the ridge on mostly Ridge Road. We will ride through Ball's Fall Conservation Area, Effingham Hill, along Welland River and Niagara River to Niagara Falls.

These 2 routes will be the same until the 17 km mark. After that riders will not meet until they reach Tap Brewhouse: https://goo.gl/maps/6NxnxcXmuXWWtLSH9
You will need to ride 100 km on both routes to reach your destination. There are no short cuts.
With moderate usual speed, we should be in Niagara Falls between 1:00 -1:30. Plenty of time to grab a quick beer, late lunch/early dinner.

This is a Tourist-class ride - be prepared to be self-sufficient. Check the website 2 hours before the start time - the ride could be rescheduled or cancelled at the discretion of the organizers.
If you are a Presto Card user, remember to "tap off" once you reach Burlington GO station on your return or you will be charged the full fare to Toronto!
