Freedom Friday: Country near the city (redux)

  • 20 Sep 2019
  • 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM
  • Victoria Square Park (on Elgin Mills Road in Markham, just east of the 404)

A 65km or 77km route through open country to the north (and east) of the Greater Toronto Area, with a coffee stop at the ever popular Annina's Bakeshop in Goodwood.

Start point is at Victoria Square Park in Markham, just east of the 404. Exit the 404 at Elgin Mills Road and head east. The park is on your right hand side, just after the Prince Regent Street intersection.

The park's toilets may not be open for our early-morning start. Facilities are available at gas stations both east and west of the 404.

Please note: This route detours at the 49.7km point to avoid construction on 19th Sideroad. This means it includes a very short section on busy Highway 48. Ride single file, and ride carefully.
