This is a rescheduling of the TOURIST version of the Toronto-to-Niagara Falls ride that had been postponed from Aug 17 to 18th and then cancelled due to poor weather Hopefully nature will cooperate this time!
This is a mostly flat ride, often along bike lanes and low traffic roads WITH Plenty of time to take in the charms of The Falls. We meet for dinner at Applebee's, and return home by GO Transit's "Bike Train", leaving the Niagara train station at roughly 7 o'clock that evening.
Starting point is the Grenadier Cafe parking lot, in High Park.
Purchase your own GO Train ticket at the station in Niagara Falls. Estimated fare is $21 and a bit cheaper with a Presto card. Bicycles carried at no additional expense in dedicated bike rack cars and vestibules.
Meet in the Grenadier Cafe parking lot in High Park at 8:00 a.m for a prompt 8:15 a.m. departure.
Members: Remember to bring your membership card.
Non-members: You pay a $5 fee and sign TBN's waiver form when you register.
Helmets are required on this and all TBN rides.
RAIN DATE IS SUNDAY (SEPT 1ST). Ride will be postponed to Sunday if it is raining at the start or a major weather warning has been issued for the route. If the weather is still bad on Sunday, this event will be cancelled
* Event registration required. Only 45 spaces available due to the limited bike racks on the GO train and restaurant reservation.
