DIY Europe by Bike

Travel the storybook world that makes history and fairytales come alive. Pass magnificent castles and palaces, wind your way through villages, past lakes and vineyards. All this can be explored while following your cycling passion. Do it yourself: your own pace, your time, your location, your own personal adventure.

John and Lorraine Golla, TBN members who met at Cyclon in 1994 have traveled to Europe with their bikes six times. These trips included France ( Loire and Burgundy), Germany ( Mosel and Main rivers), Belgium (touring Flanders) and Elbe river Prague to Berlin.

They will cover the following subjects:

  • -      How to select a destination
  • -      How to map your trip
  • -      Booking flights and taking public transportation
  • -      Whether to take your bike or not
  • -      Tips on how to pack
  • -      Accommodations, food and other services

The presentation will include various anecdotes about nice surprises and challenges along the way. There will be photos and a ten-minute video.
