Gravel stretch: the short route has a gravel stretch on Ashworth Rd beginning at kilometre 30. The paved alternative would be to go on Sandford Rd which sometimes has significant traffic (including trucks from the local quarries).
A 68 or 89 km ride (or an 81 km strade bianchi variation partially on unpaved roads) from Stouffville to Uxbridge for lunch at the Tin Cup Caffe (reviews). Meet for a 9 am departure at the Free Parking Lot on Park Drive just south of Main Street in Stouffville. Drive north on Hwy 404 to the Stouffville Rd, and then drive east into Stouffville. Facilities are available at many of the chain restaurants and gas stations as you come into Stouffville.
