Freedom Friday - Stouffville to Uxbridge

  • 18 Aug 2017
  • 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Stouffville District Secondary School

A quiet 70km ride starting from the north east of the big city, with an opportunity for a coffee stop at the always popular Tin Can cafe in Uxbridge.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a 2km stretch of well-packed gravel on Ashworth Rd beginning at kilometre 30.

Alternatives are along often-busy Sandford Rd  to the south, cutting off a few km, or along Zephyr Road to the north. Please note the Zephyr extension adds several km to the route, as well as a few significant hills.

Meet for an 8:30 am departure at the north parking lot at Stouffville District Secondary School. You access the lot from Weldon Road, off Stouffville's Main Street. To get to the start, drive north on Hwy 404 to Stouffville Rd, and then go east into Stouffville. Turn right on Weldon Road, which is just two blocks after Tim Hortons (which is on the left). The school will be on your right hand side. Please park at the north end of the school's north parking lot, far away from the building.

Ride leader: Janet Guttsman

Remember: Ride leaders will not bring maps and cue sheets to the Freedom Friday rides. Please print and bring your own, or ask a friend to print them for you. Or you can download the route to your smartphone or your GPS device.
