Winter City Walk - The weather forecast for Sunday indicates a high of -10 or -11, with winds of 20 - 30 Km/hr from the north or north-west. To keep the wind at our backs, I plan on walking in a generally southward direction from near Lawrence subway station, perhaps as far as Osgoode subway station.
Meet Sunday, at 10 AM, at the Tim Hortons at 3220 Yonge St., a few blocks north of Lawrence, on the west side of Yonge. It is only a short walk from the Lawrence Subway Station.
The walk will be approximately 11 or 12 Km. We will be within 2 Km of a subway station at all times, and about 1 Km when we are closer to the end, so it will be easy to drop out if you get tired or cold. We will have a coffee/bathroom break around the middle and perhaps another later. We can find somewhere to stop for lunch or a snack near the end.
This is an official TBN event. Non-members are welcome to join us. They will not be charged the non-member fee, but will be asked to sign the waiver form.
