Join TBN at the Milton Velodrome

You've seen pictures of the daredevil cyclists spinning round the track at the Milton Velodrome. TBN members will now have the chance to lap the track and feel the sensation of 42-degree banked bends!

Sunday March 13 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

The session includes 15 – 30 minutes of instruction on rental bikes supplied by the Velodrome. Once training has been completed you will start to ride the Velodrome with steps and instruction along the way.

Cost of $61 .00 for active members* is inclusive of the 2-hour session, rental of bike and taxes.

Exclusive registration for 20 TBN members until February 20.  Should space still be available, registration will open to non-members on February 21 at a cost of $66.00.

As space is limited, there will be no refunds.

* Your TBN account status on your profile must indicate “Active”. If unsure, please contact membership@tbn.ca.

Session run though:

Arrive 30 minutes prior to the session. Change into your clothing. Head over to the rental shop no later than 15 minutes before the session. From there the group is instructed to head up in the infield of the track where 15-30 minutes of verbal instruction is given. Once that is complete the group will head up to the safety zone of the track and from there will start to ride the velodrome with steps and instruction along the way.

Bikes

Fixed gear bikes are used on the track which mean there are no breaks and a single gear. The bikes for the session are provided to each participant. They come in a range of sizes to fit all body types.

Foot Wear

The shoes you use for track cycling must be one of the following: Shimano road cleats, Look Keon cleats, flat-soled gymnasium shoes or running shoes. Personal pedals are not allowed on rental bikes.

Helmets

Participants are encouraged to bring their own cycling helmet however they can be provided at no additional fee.

Clothing

Participants are encouraged to wear typical cycling apparel such as bib shorts and a jersey. If one doesn’t have such clothing, shorts and a tee shirt or athletic clothing works as well.

Hydration

Be sure to bring a bottle which can be filled up at one of the many stations here inside the Velodrome.
