  • When Paul Stockton was laid off and his job outsourced to India, he finally got the opportunity to realize his long held dream of cycling across Canada. He decided to do it old-school. No electronics. No laptop, GPS, cell phone or bike computer. And he would be using an old film camera shooting slide film. The one aspect that would not be old-school was his bike. He would be riding a recumbent.

Join Paul as he reads from his book, On The Detour: Cycling Across Canada on a Recumbent. He will share photos and stories of the despair of constant rain, the pain of injury, encounters with animals, and meetings with some of the friendliest people across the country.
