City Walk - Mid-Humber Walk

  • 09 Dec 2018
  • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Sheppard West (formerly Downsview) Subway Station (bus platform)

Meet at the bus platform at Sheppard West (formerly Downsview) Subway Station. At 10:11 AM we will catch the #84A bus to Weston & Sheppard, where we will begin our walk down the Humber Trail. Please be on time as we will be boarding this bus. The next bus will be 10 to 15 minutes later, and you will have to catch up with us.

We will first walk past what may be the oldest tree in Toronto, a 350 year old Red Oak, on Coral Gable Drive. Then we will walk south on the Humber Trail. The full walk to Jane Subway Station is 17 Km, but convenient exits to TTC buses are available at Eglinton Ave. West (10Km) and Dundas St. West (14 Km). We will have a coffee/bathroom breaks at about 5 Km and 10 Km.

The walk will be entirely on paved multi-use paths and a few city streets, so street shoes or boots suitable for the weather conditions would be appropriate.

Note there is a scheduled subway closure this weekend from Lawrence to St Clair on the Yonge Line (Line 1), but please check  https://www.ttc.ca/Service_Advisories/Subway_closures/index.jsp for any changes.

This is an official TBN event. Non-members will be required to sign the waiver form and pay the $5 non-member fee. If you have difficulty finding us at the start, please call my cell at 416-917-8866. Try a couple of times as I may not hear the ringer in a noisy area.
