Ice Skating - Cedarena, changed to York Mills Arena

We will celebrate Groundhog Day's eve at York Mills Arena.

As of 10:30 Friday Feb. 1, I contacted Cedarena and they are closed until further notice so we will go with the back up plan; York Mills arena. The adult skating hours are 6:45 to 8:45 pm. We will skate until we hear some stomachs rumbling and go across the street for a late dinner. 

Note the time as the operating hours for Cedarena is 7:30 to 10:00 pm and there is a $5.00 admission charge. Cedarena is located 1.1 km north of Steeles east on Reesor Road on the east side of the road directly opposite the "Church on the Rock". 

Driving, take Markham Rd. to Steeles and east 2.3 km from the 2nd set (9th Line). You will go under a railway overpass and beyond the auto wreckers at Sewell. Reesor Rd goes north/south and jogs at Steeles, take the 2nd Reesor at the flashing overhead yellow light north to the rink. 

If you need a ride and/or can give a ride, please email me at iceskate@tbn.ca. I will pick up from York Mills subway in the northwest parking lot at 6:30 pm. Do not show up expecting a ride if you do not contact me. Drivers are expected to return their passengers to a subway. 

Cedarena is 100% natural ice and totally dependent on the weather. Keep an eye on their website,cedarena.ca or call them at 905-294-0038. If it gets warm and Cedarena is closed, the alternate is York Mills arena, their adult skate times are 6:45 to 8:45 pm.
