Wasaga Beach Provincial Park offers some of the most exciting Nordic ski terrains in Central Ontario with over 30 kilometres of groomed trails. Expert skiers can challenge themselves on the High Dunes Trail while beginner skiers can choose the more leisurely Blueberry Trail. In addition to Nordic skiing, snowshoeing is also available with a 10km trail system. The Wasaga Nordic & Trail Centre offers modern equipment rentals. Quiet skiers and snowshoers will be rewarded with wildlife viewing, such as, white-tailed deer and winter birds are abundant.
GETTING THERE: Take ON-400 N to Exit 96B in Barrie (W towards Angus). Merge onto Dunlop St W - 1.0 km; Right onto Ferndale Dr - 3.1 km; Continue onto Wilson Dr - 3.6 km; Right to stay on Wilson Dr - 2.2 km; Left onto ON-26 W - 8.0 km; Right onto Horseshoe Valley Rd W/On-22 (signs for County Rd 22/Horseshoe Valley Rd W) - 700 m; Left onto Crossland Rd (signs for Regional Rd 29/Allenwood) - 11.2 km; Left onto County Rd 92 - 4.9 km; Continue onto River Rd W - 2.9 km; Left onto Blueberry Trail - 300m.
