IMPORTANT NOTES:
* * * it is important that you register your spot for parking in the park in order to access the trail. Try to book accommodation with free cancellation policy just in case you cannot book parking spot in the park.
In order to be sure that you will be admitted to the park, you have to preregister with your vehicle on its website 5 days in advance for each day separately (if you intend to attend park those days) and pay $21 per car which serves as the park pass for all passengers in the car). You will receive full refund if you cancel no more than 2 hours after the reservation.
*** Day Use/Vehicle Permit online reservation (go to Day Use tab) starts in 7AM 5 DAYS in advance (e.g. for Saturday access you can book on Monday).
The park has 1.3 km skating trail on the frozen river through the forest. Day skating is included in the $21 per car fee.
If you want to skate in the evening you have to reserve your permit for Fire and Ice Nights in advance (numbers are limited also subjected to conditions).
ACOMMODATIONS: you have to book on your own. There are numerous motels in the area. Please if you find deals post it in the car pool for others to follow. It is difficult to find motel with kitchenette for several people. Tulip Inn and Arrowhead Inn which are closest to the park are already booked for these days. However, with a car, there are still a lot of choices for accommodation.

* PLEASE REGISTER - only REGISTRANTS are permitted to participate in this event.
* If you have registered but can't attend, log in, click on "Already registered", then cancel.
* If you have not registered for the event, you may NOT join the event.
* Event cancellation owing to weather or insufficient participants (less than 4) will be announced mid-night before event date.
