BEAVERTON CANALS, CAUSEWAYS AND COTTAGES
A flat ride around Beaverton. Explore farmland, the Trent-Severn Waterway, and the shores of Lake Simcoe. On the short ride there is no restaurant at the lunch stop, so you must bring a lunch.
The ride starts at the Beaverton Community Centre. Take Highway 404 north, Woodbine Ave. north, Ravenshoe Rd. east, and Highway 48 north. Turn left on Durham Road 23 at Port Bolster (just past the drive-in theatre). In Beaverton, turn left on Bay Street (at the defunct gas station). Turn left on Main Street to the Beaverton Community Centre.
NB: To avoid construction that recently began on the causeways, the routes had to be modified this year. Thus, the route distances are shorter than those noted in the Quick Release. The ride leader will provide details at the start of the ride. Hard copies of maps and cue sheets, as posted below, will also be available. Thank you!
Remember to bring your TBN membership card and helmet. Non-members are welcome for a $5 fee. Site updated 28 June 2014
