Doors Open will be held in Toronto on the weekend of May 28 & 29. If you would like to visit some of the sites with other TBN members, let's meet on Saturday, May 28, at 10:00 AM outside City Hall, in Nathan Phillips Square, near The Archer.
There are a number of activities taking place in City Hall (https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/festivals-events/doors-open-toronto/city-hall/) that we can visit, and then we can walk to some nearby Doors Open sites.
Have a look at https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/festivals-events/doors-open-toronto/doors-open-buildings-sites/#location=&lat=&lng= to find sites that you may be interested in.
We can discuss which sites to visit when we meet on Saturday. As we have done in the past, we will probably visit 4 to 6 sites, stop for a snack and/or coffee, and go home when we get tired. People are free to come and go from the group, and visit any sites they choose on their own.
And as usual, please be aware that I do not intend to spend a lot of time waiting to get into a site, so I do not usually visit the very popular sites.
This is not a TBN event. Non-members are welcome and they will not be charged the non-member fee.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact me by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or phone. If you have trouble finding us at the start, or any time during the day, please call me on my cell at 416-917-8866.
Please note that some of the buildings require masks and/or proof of vaccination. This PDF indicates which ones:
Regarding the TTC, Face masks (ttc.ca) indicates “Masks are mandatory when travelling on the TTC, with some exceptions…”, but “The TTC will not be enforcing the use of masks…”
Also, please note that 8 subway stations on the Yonge Line will be closed this weekend:
as this might affect your travel plans.
