We're still looking for a volunteer to take on the job of education director, arranging special events about topics of interest to TBNers. If you can help, please email president John Clausen. You can see more details here about what the job entails.

More here about TBN's year-end finances

TBN's 2019 financial statements are now available on the club's website, along with explanations to some of the questions asked of the treasurer at the annual meeting. Click here to see the figures and the explanations. Please note you must be logged in as a TBN member to access this page.

Are you seeking tips on trips?

Are you involved in organizing official TBN events, including cycling and camping/hiking overnight trips? If so, you are invited to attend a budgeting workshop planned for January 20 at Mountain Equipment Co-op, 300 Queen St. W., beginning at 6:30 pm where we will outline ways to ensure everyone is following consistent budgeting processes. This will also serve as an opportunity to pose questions and share best practices on TBN events. More details coming soon in the TBN calendar, which will also give you an option to register for the workshop, and in the next issue of Chain of Events.

Travel with TBN

TBN will be offering a range of out-of-town trips this year. If you want to help organize a trip, or if you have ideas on destinations you would like to see, please sign up for the special budgeting session described above or contact weekend trips director Lora Flanagan.

Buying at a discount

Many bike stores in the Toronto area offer hefty discounts for TBN members, as do a number of bicycle related services. Check the website for the full list.

As always, check the TBN website for details of all rides and other events, and remember to check back a couple of hours before a ride in case it's changed or cancelled because of poor weather or other factors beyond our control.

Remember to visit the TBN calendar of events to find out more about what's coming up. The little TTC logo below will help alert you to any subway closures.
