New-ish ROUTE! New-ish START POINT!

For this new-last-year version of a favourite TBN ride we will be starting from the Victoria Park subway, eliminating the big hill from the Beaches up to Kingston Road. We will be using a bit of the SMR route to Guildwood but departing from it to explore some trails not currently on any other TBN rides.

The Highland Creek Trail reopened last year after being closed south of Morningside Park for sewer work. However, at the very bottom of the trail at Lake Ontario the part of the Waterfront Trail that heads west is currently closed again to finish repairing the damage from the high water levels in 2017. Assuming that it isn't open (entirely possible) the map shows the alternative route which exits the trail at Lawrence.

The return route from Guildwood also departs from the norm and stays north of Kingston Road for a change.

Lunch is at Tim Hortons near the two thirds point so you might want to bring something to snack on to keep your energy up. You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.

Meet for a 10 am departure from the parking lot of the Victoria Park TTC station, located on the east side of Victoria Park Avenue, one block north of Danforth Avenue.

If the ride is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday. Please check before leaving for the ride.

The Ride with GPS map for the route is linked below, as well as a simplified cue sheet. The linked cue sheet has been optimised for Sunday Urban Rollers.

See you Sunday
