Attendance will be checked at the start. If you register after 8 am on the day of the ride bring a copy of the confirmation email, either printed or electronic, to show to the ride leader.
Please remember to bring (and wear) a helmet.
This is an Urban Roller level ride. If you are uncertain whether this level is appropriate to your riding level, click here. For a more nuanced description check this page.
Danforth construction note: If you riding to the start point from the west along the Danforth Ave bike lanes please be aware that due to significant roadwork there is no bike lane between Main St and Victoria Park. Traffic is a single lane shared with cars. However, there is a simple alternative route. Turn left (north) at Main. Just north of the Main TTC station there is a small laneway leading west. This leads to Coleman Ave, which runs parallel to Danforth. Take it east to its end at Sibley Ave, turn right and it will put you back at Danforth at a set of lights. From there it's just a short distance to the parking lot entrance to Shoppers World.
For this relatively new version of a favourite TBN ride we will be starting from the Victoria Park subway, eliminating the big hill from the Beaches up to Kingston Road. We will be using a bit of the SMR route to Guildwood but departing from it to explore some trails not currently on any other TBN rides.
The return route from Guildwood departs from the norm and stays north of Kingston Road for a change.
Lunch is at Tim Hortons near the two thirds point so you might want to bring something to snack on to keep your energy up. You may still wish to bring your own lunch and snacks to avoid lineups and contact.
Meet for a 10 am departure from the parking lot of Shoppers World, located on the southwest corner of Victoria Park Avenue and Danforth Avenue.
If the ride is cancelled due to weather or other reasons, notice of the cancellation will be posted on the website around 8 am Sunday. Please check before leaving for the ride.
